Star MarinePro is a service provider to the Shipbuilding Industry. Our clients are among the world’s largest shipping compagnies, and we provide our experienced services to support our clients Newbuilding, Conversion and Repair projects worldwide.

You will join a team of experienced ship building experts and be in charge of project execution for a container feeder newbuilding project.

Opportunity

Our client is a large European shipping company which have entered newbuilding contract with shipyard in Guangdong province.

We have vacant position as Site Manager for a newbuilding project of 10 vessels starting from December 2022.

You will as Site Manager oversee the construction for a series of large escort tug boats from steel cutting to final delivery.

You Are

We expect you to be a Shipbuilding professional with minimum 10 years’ experience from previous newbuilding projects. You most likely have a background as Marine Engineer, Naval Architect or similar.

You have good people and communication skills and clearly understands what is important and critical during vessel newbuilding process.

You have most likely experience with working with newbuilding projects in China and are willing to relocate to China or might already be in China on another project.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the team of site superintendents and be in charge of the project execution with close dialogue to key stakeholders. Your will safeguard the client’s investment throughout the newbuilding process and ensure transparent reporting of progress and schedule.

You will be responsible for vessel complying the technical building specification and applicable rules and regulation.
